Driving on Mahé — What to Know
- Drive on the left. Seychelles follows the British convention.
- Speed limits. 40 km/h in built-up areas, 65 km/h on the open road, 80 km/h on the dual carriageway near the airport.
- Licence. Your national driving licence is accepted. An International Driving Permit is not required for most visitors.
- Minimum age. Drivers must be 21 or over and have held a licence for at least one year.
- Fuel. Petrol stations are easy to find around Victoria and the airport, but sparser on the west and south coasts. Fill up before a long loop.
